Earth Sciences Communication Initiative

RPI has been involved in the planning of the Earth Sciences Communication Initiative (ESCI) since its beginning.  The Earth Science Communication Initiative is a joint effort among USC, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Civic Center on Religion and Society, and the Annenberg School.  See www.escinitiative.org . ESCI’s first public event was ClimatePalooza on January 24, 2013.

“ClimatePalooza …[was] a collaborative effort by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism to put a different focus on climate change. … Scientists, communicators, faculty, and students from across USC … approach[ed] climate preservation as the most extraordinary, exhilarating, and challenging venture that our society has yet faced.”

ClimatePalooza 2014 Visions and Voices, the second ClimatePalooza, occured on March 28, 2014 at USC. Click to this site or this site for more information.
